VIRGINIA INDIAN NURSES ASSOCIATION

Presidential Message
Dear Friends, Fellow Nurses, and Healthcare Family,
It fills my heart with immense pride and gratitude to welcome you to the Virginia Indian Nurses Association (VINA). On June 8, 2024, we took a historic step forward, coming together as a proud chapter of the National Association of Indian Nurses of America to create a community where our voices, values, and visions unite. Many of us started our journey thousands of miles away in India, where the spirit of selfless service shaped our identity. We brought with us not only our skills and knowledge but also a heritage of compassion, resilience, and deep respect for the art of healing. Today, Virginia is our home, and through VINA, we weave our Indian roots into the fabric of this beautiful Commonwealth.
We are a place where Indian nurses in Virginia, regardless of where they are in their careers, can find belonging, mentorship, and strength in shared purpose. Whether you’re a new graduate taking your first steps into the nursing profession or a seasoned leader with years of experience, there is a place for you here.
To my fellow founding members, thank you. Your passion and dedication turned this vision into reality. And to every nurse and healthcare professional in Virginia, we invite you to join us. Your experiences, insights, and heart for healing will make us stronger.
The road ahead is filled with possibilities. Let us walk it together with courage in our hearts, compassion in our hands, and the unshakable belief that together, we can make a difference that lasts for generations.
Welcome to VINA. Welcome home.
